She has been listed as one of the "Top 50 Choreographers to Watch" by Dance Spirit/Teacher Magazine. Melissa was a New England Patriots Cheerleader and performed in New Orleans at Super Bowl XXXVI. Her notable performing experience includes Disney World Magic Kingdom. Television credits include principal dance roles with ESPN and Pepsi Commercials. Melissa currently prides herself on being one of the top choreographers in the Northeast with awards such as "Top Choreographer", "Most Creative", "Best Staging", "Most Entertaining" and 4-time Industry Dance Award winner for the highest scoring jazz & tap routines. She had the privilege of presenting her choreographic film project to the Dance Complex Virtual Showcase, and was invited to perform a choreographic work for the American College Dance Association in March 2020. Lacey Sasso Lacey Sasso (she/her) is a passionate educator, performer and choreographer. Lacey is NGCP® certified in the Basic-Professional levels of Giordano Jazz Technique, Level 1 of Luigi Jazz Technique, Progressing Ballet Technique®, Tap Roots® and Alixa Flexibility Modules 1 & 2. She has completed the Dance for PD® Introductory Dance Teacher Training Course, Martha Graham School Intensive Teacher Workshop (NYC), and Kaelyn Gray’s Tap Basics with a Twist Workshop. She is a master and guest teacher throughout New England and has taught internationally in South America, Europe and the United Kingdom. Lacey holds a B.F.A in Dance Performance and a minor in Psychology from Missouri State University and her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy from William James College. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Sasso & Company, a company member with DrumatiX and a freelance contemporary performer. Lacey joined the cast of City Ballet of Boston’s Urban Nutcracker as a tap lead, soloist, and ensemble member in 2024. Lacey spent six seasons with Undertoe Dance Project (NYC) as the Jazz Captain and Resident Jazz Teaching Artist. She has performed and choreographed for Six One Seven Dance Collective (Boston) and was a founding member of Project31’s professional company. She has studied all genres of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary and modern from Linda Regulbuto. Courtney was a competitive dancer for over ten years. During her dance training, Courtney also was a Teaching Assistant for several of the classes at her home dance studio. She studied with renowned modern dance instructor Earl Mosley in 2015, and was the National Youth Representative for the New England chapter of the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts (NADAA) in 2014. Courtney was asked back by NADAA to teach jazz masterclasses at their regional conventions during the 2022-2023 season. She graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2020 as wasa a 4-year member of their Dance Team and Dance Club. She served as Dance Team Captain for the 2019-2020 season. During her time at Saint Anselm, she took several classes at Steps On Broadway and with Patriots Cheerleaders. After graduating, Courtney returned to her home dance studio, Grossi Dance & Performing Arts Academy, as staff. She has taught dance to children aged one and a half to adults, finding great joy in teaching jazz and contemporary. During her time at Grossi, she co-directed their Competition Team, leading them to winning several regional and national competitions and also receiving choreographer and studio of excellence awards. Courtney has found a deeply rooted passion and love for the other side of competing -- being the coach and choreographer. Courtney's favorite part about teaching dance is pushing and guiding students to achieving goals and helping dancers grow both as individuals and in their dance technique as well. She moved to Quincy in August of 2023 and continued to teach dance after finding herself at The Movement Center in Acton. There, she was the Competition Team Director and taught recreational classes as well. She is a 2020 graduate of Bridgewater State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in dance education and minored in business management. After graduation, Riley worked as the office administrator and dance instructor at the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet in Holyoke, MA. Riley recently completed a Fulbright scholarship (2022-2024) as an English Teacher in Taipei, Taiwan where she used her creative movement pedagogy to teach English as a foreign language. At Bridgewater State University, Riley was the president of the NDEO Student Chapter and the vice president of the Dance Company while also choreographing and performing for dance department productions and completing departmental honors. She conducted research on the benefits of movement pedagogy for teaching and learning English as a foreign language through a research grant in Bali, Indonesia. She has performed at the ACDA conference in San Jose, CA and presented dance research at the NDEO conference in Miami, FL. With 15 years of competitive and college experience, she has always mainly enjoyed the tumbling aspect of the sport. She began coaching youth-aged children in high school and has loved watching the kids have so much joy and confidence in themselves. While in Chicago, she simultaneously trained at Dans West Ballet Academy for 4 years, performing in The Nutcracker. She later moved to Hartland, Wisconsin, where she trained at Accent On Dance in ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary, musical theater, jazz, and hip-hop. Alongside studio training, she competed with the AOD Allstars High School Dance Team. Elisa placed within the top ten soloists each year, then went on to win the title of Miss Badgerette of the Midwest her senior year. Continuing her competitive dance career, she earned a spot on the D1A University of Wisconsin Dance Team, while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. The UW Dance Team competes at UDA nationals and performs at home sporting events. She recently moved to Boston, MA to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northeastern University, and she trains the Braintree High School Dance Teams when she’s not in school or at JCDC! Elisa has choreographed solos, duets, small groups, and now large groups in the dance team world, specializing in jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Wendy’s interests shifted to musical theatre, and she had the privilege of choreographing and performing for Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Palace Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, and several other regional theatre companies. Wendy moved to Boston to continue her dance training and became a member of MAVI Dance, Unyted Stylz, and StreetHYpE. In 2010, Wendy founded Contemporarily Out of Order (COOco), a contemporary company aimed at creating performance opportunities for children and adults in a professional setting. Previously, Wendy was the Assistant Director of Boston University’s Summer Reach Program and taught/choreographed for several studios in the Greater Boston area. Originally from Rochester, NY, Emily was a competitive dancer at Spins Dance Studio and began teaching dance at a young age. At Syracuse, Emily was a proud choreographer and performer in DanceWorks, specializing in hip hop, jazz, and tap. Additionally, she shared her love of dance as a camp leader, competition choreographer, and summer instructor at a local studio. She was a proud member of the Braintree High School Varsity Dance Team for 4 years under the leadership of Jamie Campbell. She had traveled to the UDA high school nationals in Orlando, Florida, two times. In her senior year, Tricia had the honor of being a team captain, where she helped lead the team to state and regional wins. Originally from Taunton, MA, Allison was a competitive dancer and has been teaching since her high school years. At Roger Williams, Allison competed at UDA for two years with her team, competing in jazz and pom. Additionally, she choreographed for the RWU Dance Club for two years. Allison loves seeing young dancers grow and helping them reach their full potential by encouraging them to build confidence, have fun, and find their own love for dance.
