She flourished at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, showcasing her talent in renowned productions such as Les Sylphides, Flower Festival, Paquita, The Four Temperaments, and Persistent Memory. Her journey continued with the Hong Kong Ballet, where she graced the stage in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, and Romeo & Juliet, winning the Hong Kong Open Dance Competition twice. Harrison earned undergraduate degrees in ballet performance and international relations from the University of Oklahoma, followed by a recent Master's degree in fine arts from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. In Oklahoma, she enchanted audiences as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker, while also captivating in diverse roles like Someday Sideways, La Bayadère, Cinderella, and more. She has been listed as one of the "Top 50 Choreographers to Watch" by Dance Spirit/Teacher Magazine. Melissa was a New England Patriots Cheerleader and performed in New Orleans at Super Bowl XXXVI. Her notable performing experience includes Disney World Magic Kingdom. Television credits include principal dance roles with ESPN and Pepsi Commercials. Melissa currently prides herself on being one of the top choreographers in the Northeast with awards such as "Top Choreographer", "Most Creative", "Best Staging", "Most Entertaining" and 4-time Industry Dance Award winner for the highest scoring jazz & tap routines. Melissa has trained 15 regional and national title winners. Her dancers have not only earned college scholarships, but they are also currently dancing professionally in NYC, LA and Boston. Since graduating, Hannah has taught people of all ages and abilities around Massachusetts at different studios, community centers, elementary schools, preschools, and Montessori schools. This includes Boston Public Schools with Mass Movement, Inc. She teaches ballet, jazz, tap, modern, creative movement, and is also a certified Jazzercise instructor! Through the Boston University Dance Program, she has had the opportunity to teach beginning Modern Dance and in the youth dance program, children ages 3-12. Hannah is currently studying at Lesley University to receive a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy. Last year, Hannah completed an internship at Beaverbrook Step Inc., Options Day Services, where she led dance/movement therapy groups for adults with disabilities. Tap has always been her passion and main focus, the rhythmic style of it has always fascinated her. She began assistant teaching at the age of thirteen and that is where her love of teaching dance began. She teaches ages anywhere from ages 2 through Adult but especially loves teaching the younger dancers. In May 2020 Marian graduated Summa Cum Laude with National Honors in dance from Bridgewater State University with a BA in Dance Education. While at Bridgewater State University, Marian served as Vice President of the National Dance Education Organization and was a member of the BSU Dance Company. Her modern choreography was selected for one show and her tap choreography was selected for two shows while studying at Bridgewater State University. She also choreographed a tap piece for BSU’s winter show as an alumni choreoegrapher in 2021. Marian was a competitive dancer in high school and has won many awards for her choreography at both the regional and national level. It has always been Marian’s dream to one day open her own private dance studio and teach all different styles of dance. Marian has a passion for teaching dance and she loves to see her students grow in their love and appreciation in all styles. From a young age, growing up in Braintree, Lindsay always knew dance would be a major part of her life. Her foundation in dance began at the age of five at a local Braintree studio. As a teen, she danced competitively on the BHS varsity dance team, performing at athletic games, and competing state wide. Lindsay and her teammates traveled to Orlando Florida to compete nationally at the U.S Spirit National Championship, earning two first place titles as Divisional and Grand Champions. After high school, she became the assistant coach for the award-winning BHS varsity dance team. Working alongside Jamie Campbell for the past ten years, she has assisted in choreographing many routines in jazz, pom and all styles that captured first-place wins at Bay State, State and New England competitions. Lindsay earned a bachelor’s degree in dance education with a minor in secondary education from Bridgewater State University. In addition to performing at BSU, Lindsay was selected to choreograph numerous student performances. She has taken many master classes and studied Lester Horton technique in modern dance at UMASS Boston under the instruction of Jean Appolon. Currently a first-grade teacher at The Sage School in Foxborough Massachusetts, Lindsay is honored to share her passion for dance with her hometown. She has fifteen years of dance experience and has four years of teaching experience with a wide range of age groups, mostly preschool and kindergarten. She has choreographed for many dance concerts, taught in the private sector, and performed in productions such as Fame! the Musical. She had the privilege of presenting her choreographic film project to the Dance Complex Virtual Showcase, and was invited to perform a choreographic work for the American College Dance Association in March 2020. She also trained with the Kirov Ballet Academy, American Repertory Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre before studying the arts of performance and teaching at the University of Utah. It was in Utah that she started her first job as a dance teacher while continuing to study with Ballet West, Repertory Dance Theatre, and Center Stage. She moved to Massachusetts to complete her Master of Education and has been teaching dance on the south shore since then. Throughout her 15 years of teaching experience, Lauren has received awards for her choreography and top-scoring competitive routines and has trained dancers who have gone on to dance in LA and on college dance teams. She later danced for Jamie Campbell on the Braintree Varsity Dance team throughout all fours years of high school. During Carolines senior year the braintree varsity dance team traveled to Orlando to compete in UDA nationals. Miss Caroline also spent year senior year teaching and taking classes at Jamie Campbells dance company where her love of dance and teaching grew. After graduating Miss Caroline attended Endicott College in Beverly where she continued her dance career on the Endicott College dance team. In January of 2020 Caroline and the rest of the Endicott dance team traveled to Orlando to compete in UDA nationals where the team placed first in the division 3 pom category. This year Miss Caroline will be attending Stonehill College where she will continue her education as well as her dance training. Kasey Sjostedt Kasey grew up in Tewksbury, MA and started dancing at the age of 3. She began competing at the age of 5 and continued through high school. Throughout high school, Kasey enjoyed many opportunities that her team were given to perform in NYC. Upon graduation, Kasey attended Towson University and became a member of the Towson University Dance Team. Every year in April they travelled to NDA College Nationals located in Daytona Beach, FL. Kasey and her team competed in the D1 division at NDA and secured their 18th National Title in the Spring of 2018. Kasey was named a captain of her dance team during her senior season in 2019-2020. After graduating from college, Kasey continued her dance career by becoming a New England Patriots Cheerleader. Performances with NEPC included every home game, appearances throughout New England, and in Aruba during their calendar shoot. She is RBT (registering behavior technician) certified, and has been an early childhood education teacher for over 15 years! She was on the Braintree varsity dance team for 4 years with Miss Patty as her coach! Kristen is now a full-time employee here at JCDC managing everything from the day-to-day flow, to birthday parties, to our backstage at the recitals. She has studied all genres of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary and modern from Linda Regulbuto. Courtney was a competitive dancer for over ten years. During her dance training, Courtney also was a Teaching Assistant for several of the classes at her home dance studio. She studied with renowned modern dance instructor Earl Mosley in 2015, and was the National Youth Representative for the New England chapter of the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts (NADAA) in 2014. Courtney was asked back by NADAA to teach jazz masterclasses at their regional conventions during the 2022-2023 season. She graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2020 as wasa a 4-year member of their Dance Team and Dance Club. She served as Dance Team Captain for the 2019-2020 season. During her time at Saint Anselm, she took several classes at Steps On Broadway and with Patriots Cheerleaders. After graduating, Courtney returned to her home dance studio, Grossi Dance & Performing Arts Academy, as staff. She has taught dance to children aged one and a half to adults, finding great joy in teaching jazz and contemporary. During her time at Grossi, she co-directed their Competition Team, leading them to winning several regional and national competitions and also receiving choreographer and studio of excellence awards. Courtney has found a deeply rooted passion and love for the other side of competing -- being the coach and choreographer. Courtney's favorite part about teaching dance is pushing and guiding students to achieving goals and helping dancers grow both as individuals and in their dance technique as well. She moved to Quincy in August of 2023 and continued to teach dance after finding herself at The Movement Center in Acton. There, she was the Competition Team Director and taught recreational classes as well. She is a 2020 graduate of Bridgewater State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in dance education and minored in business management. After graduation, Riley worked as the office administrator and dance instructor at the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet in Holyoke, MA. Riley recently completed a Fulbright scholarship (2022-2024) as an English Teacher in Taipei, Taiwan where she used her creative movement pedagogy to teach English as a foreign language. At Bridgewater State University, Riley was the president of the NDEO Student Chapter and the vice president of the Dance Company while also choreographing and performing for dance department productions and completing departmental honors. She conducted research on the benefits of movement pedagogy for teaching and learning English as a foreign language through a research grant in Bali, Indonesia. She has performed at the ACDA conference in San Jose, CA and presented dance research at the NDEO conference in Miami, FL. With 15 years of competitive and college experience, she has always mainly enjoyed the tumbling aspect of the sport. She began coaching youth-aged children in high school and has loved watching the kids have so much joy and confidence in themselves. Wendy’s interests shifted to musical theatre, and she had the privilege of choreographing and performing for Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Palace Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre, and several other regional theatre companies. Wendy moved to Boston to continue her dance training and became a member of MAVI Dance, Unyted Stylz, and StreetHYpE. In 2010, Wendy founded Contemporarily Out of Order (COOco), a contemporary company aimed at creating performance opportunities for children and adults in a professional setting. Previously, Wendy was the Assistant Director of Boston University’s Summer Reach Program and taught/choreographed for several studios in the Greater Boston area. She continued her training at South Shore Ballet Theatre with Marthavan McKeon, George Birkadze, Stephanie Moy, Leslie Woodies, Dona Silva, and Nan Keating. In 2016, Ms. Frank was offered a traineeship with Bay Pointe Ballet in San Francisco. The following year, she trained with Festival Ballet Providence as a post-graduate. From 2018 to 2020, she danced as a company member with City Ballet Boston. From 2020 to 2023, Ms. Frank danced with The Florida Ballet in Jacksonville, Florida. She has since returned to her home state and has been dancing with City Ballet of Boston since 2023. Ms. Frank has performed principal roles such as Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty and the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Urban Nutcracker. Kendra Frank is an ABT® Certified Teacher, having successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is also a professionally certified pointe shoe fitter, known as @Frankly.Fitted. At Syracuse, Emily was a proud choreographer and performer in DanceWorks, specializing in hip hop, jazz, and tap. Additionally, she shared her love of dance as a camp leader, competition choreographer, and summer instructor at a local studio. She studied classical ballet for 6 years at Atlantic Coast Academy of Dance under Tanya Vincent before attending high school at Walnut Hill School for the Arts as a ballet major. She has studied at the schools of many prestigious ballet companies such as Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and Carolina Ballet. Grace went on to attend Vassar College, graduating with a minor in dance and participating in Vassar Repertory Dance Theater. Post-college, Grace is dancing professionally with City Ballet of Boston. She has taught ballet for many years to all ages, from preschool to adult, and has created her own summer intensive program on Martha's Vineyard for the past 2 summers. She recently deepened her understanding of dance pedagogy by successfully completing the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. In her senior year, Tricia had the honor of being a team captain, where she helped lead the team to state and regional wins.
