Competition Crew Information
We will be going into the 4th season of our JCDC competition crew, and we could not be more excited!
This program is the perfect opportunity for dancers who want to take their training to the next level and spend more time here at the studio. Interested in learning more? Check out this page and come audition on May 20, 21, & 23!
2024/25 Audition Information
(We encourage anyone interested to come out and audition! No previous experience necessary, and no strings attached!)
Please choose 1 of these dates for your audition, no need to come for both!
Audition Dates/Times
Each dancer is required to attend all three days of the audition process
MONDAY, MAY 20th
Dancers will participate in a traditional jazz class, where they will learn a combo which will be performed on Thursday
TUESDAY, MAY 21st
Dancers will participate in an acro class, they will perform skills down the mat and will be evaluated by our acro staff members
THURSDAY, MAY 23rd
Thursday will be the official audition day. Dancers will perform the combo they learned on Monday, as well as go across the floor and demonstrate skills for a set of outside judges. They will be scored on not only their performance that day but also how they performed throughout the week.
The times listed below will be the same each day
K-1st Grade: 4:00-5:00 pm
2nd-3rd Grade: 5:00-6:00 pm
4th-5th Grade: 6:00-7:00 pm
6th-8th Grade: 7:00-8:00 pm
9th-12th Grade: 8:00-9:00 pm
(Please audition with your Fall 2024 grade level)
You must register and pay through our portal before auditions, we will not accept payment on-site.
What to wear:
Wear fitted dance attire (shorts, leggings, crop top, tank)
Hair slicked back in a low pony/bun
Turners (or barefoot) for Jazz/Audition Day
Barefoot for Acro Day
What to bring:
Please bring a printed solo photo of your dancer
(Can be any type of photo, as long as their face is clear!)
A positive attitude and a big smile!
Anyone is welcome to audition! No specific amount of experience is necessary.
Current JCDC and non-JCDC students are allowed to try out!
(Current competition dancers must reaudition for placement)

Next Level Crews
Take your training to the NEXT LEVEL here at JCDC! This team will consist of dancers ages 6+ who are looking to take their dance education more seriously!
Dancers will practice 3-6+ hours per week.
Dancers will be selected by audition for this program.
These dancers will attend 3 mandatory regional competitions in March-May, and they will also attend 1 National competition in June/July.
Attendance is a very important requirement for the Next Level Competition Crew.
Fusion Crews
Get your feet wet in the competition scene! The JCDC Fusion Crew will consist of dancers from Kindergarten & Up looking to go beyond recreational dance and have the opportunity to compete at competitions!
Dancers will practice 3-5 hours per week
Dancers will be selected by audition for this program.
Dancers will attend 3 mandatory competitions from March through May, they will NOT attend nationals.
Attendance is very important for the Fusion Crew!
