Recital Frequently Asked Questions
What do dancers wear to the Dress Rehearsal?
Dancers should NOT come in costume, hair, or makeup, however, we ask that they wear all black proper dancing attire (i.e. black leotard, shorts, leggings, crop top, etc) and their proper footwear (sent in a previous email).
If their class has multiple dances (Ex. Ballet/Tap/Jazz), they will run them back to back.
What is the hair and makeup for Recital Day?
All dancers will wear their hair in low bun, please watch our tutorial here. All baby hairs should be hair-sprayed or gelled out of the way, slicked to the head. You have been notified where your hairpiece(s) should be placed if applicable
Bun Makers, which come in different sizes and colors, and hair nets can be found on Amazon, at Walmart, and/or Target. Be sure to have lots of bobby pins ready!

For Makeup, please wear only:

Although it is tempting, please do not wear costumes or tights prior to the show. In order to keep all costumes clean and uniform, it is safest to keep your costumes hung up in a safe place until the big day. DO NOT wait until the day of the show to take your costume out of its bag. If your costume has a skirt or tutu, please be sure to steam it before the recital. Do NOT iron! After the show, you are more than welcome to wear your costume at any time, even to dance class!
