Jamie Campbell, M.Ed., Ed.S., NCSP

Owner/Director/Choreographer

Jamie Campbell is an award-winning dance coach, choreographer and educator with deep roots in Braintree. She is the driving force behind the powerhouse Braintree High School varsity dance team—winners of multiple New England and State dance competition titles. Jamie received the Excellence in Coaching Award by the MSSAA.

Jamie’s foundation in dance began at the age of three. As a teen, she danced competitively on the BHS varsity dance team while doing double duty as a varsity cheerleader. Jamie and her teammates were selected as halftime dancers for the U.S. Olympic basketball tour in China.  She continued performing at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where she cheered at athletic games and competed nationally at the NCA National Championship. After developing the JV dance program at BHS after college, Jamie took over varsity coaching reins from her mother, Patty Hale, a founder of high school dance teams in Massachusetts.

Jamie brought competitive high school dance to new heights, choreographing innovative jazz, pom and all-styles routines that won acclaim, year after year.  A member of dance committees throughout the state, Jamie is dedicated to promoting and growing the sport of dance. She is often called upon to choreograph routines for cheer and dance teams, as well as for aspiring New England Patriots cheerleaders.

Jamie has a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from UMass-Amherst, and a master’s degree in school psychology and post-master’s degree as an educational specialist from UMass-Boston. She currently works as a licensed school psychologist in southeastern Massachusetts. Born and raised in Braintree where she lives with her husband and three children, Jamie founded Jamie Campbell’s Dance Company in 2018. It is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to create a safe haven for young people—a studio that fosters the love of dance while teaching teamwork, bolstering self-confidence and forging lifelong friendships.
